Spa Bath

Tranquility and transition are always on the minds of these recently retired baby boomers. The couple thrives on change, as long as it leads to a better, more comfortable lifestyle. The renovation of their master bath is no exception. "We need a space that can stand the test of time, but we also want it to feel current and stylish," says the homeowner. To make their vision a reality, the couple incorporates clean lines and natural tones with user-friendly features, such as an enlarged floor plan and the shower system for a spa-like experience.

Several layers of lighting work in the room to create a scheme that is appropriate for all times of the day. For example, overhead lights and vanity bars illuminate the space for tasks such as shaving or applying makeup, while the wall sconces and recessed lights with energy-saving dimmers provide just enough light for a relaxed setting.

Good To Know:

To create a harmonious piece of furniture, have your countertop cut to match the dimensions of your cabinetry.

Found a faucet or showerhead you love? Matching accessories are often available through Special Order. Check with a Lowe's employee to find your style and finish.

Spa BathPrior to the renovation, the homeowners' bath lacked both style and delineation between zones.
