Pilates Bench
General Instructions

Cut and label the parts as needed, using the Cut List as a guide and adjusting for fit.

Step-by-Step
  1. Attach the end panels and dividers.
    • Drill pocket holes along the bottom edge of the end panels and dividers. Alternate placement of the holes along the opposite sides of each piece.
    • Attach the end panels to the floor panel using glue and pocket hole screws, making sure the end panels are flush with the edges of the floor panel

Note: Secure the pieces with a corner clamp while driving the pocket hole screws. Check for square, adjusting as needed for fit.
    • Attach the dividers to the floor panel using glue and pocket hole screws. Secure the pieces with a corner clamp while driving the pocket hole screws. Check for square, adjusting as needed for fit. Space the dividers 15 inches from the end panels to create three sections of equal size.
  2. Attach the top panel.
    • Attach the top panel to the floor/end assembly using glue and 1 1/4-inch brads. Use a corner clamp to secure the joints between the top panel, the end panels, and the dividers while driving the brads. Check for square, adjusting as needed for fit.
  3. Add the trim.
    • Measure and miter cut the front face trim and the end face trim pieces.
    • Attach the trim to the front edges of the top, floor, and end panels using glue and 3/4-inch brads. Using the same method, attach the trim to the four edges of each end panel. The bench should have rectangular frames on the front and the two ends.
    • Measure and straight cut the divider trim pieces. Attach the trim to the front edge of each divider with glue and 3/4-inch brads.
  4. Attach the table legs.
    • Attach the legs to the four corners of the floor panel per the manufacturer's instructions.
    • Attach one leg to the front center edge of the floor panel. Center and attach another leg onto the back edge of the floor panel.
  5. Apply a finish.
    • Fill nail holes with paintable wood filler. Sand, prime, and allow to dry. Sand again, and paint in your desired color.
