This compact entry is where our busy couple (Cameron is a photographer and Mel is a teacher), drop their gear at the end of the day. A cast-off piece of cabinetry serves as the sole storage option for all their books, gardening shoes, mail, and keys. When guests stop by, they’re greeted by an entry that looks chaotic, not welcoming.
|
We added an entry catch-all for shoes and gear, a mail manager, and a three-legged landing table on the stairway. Go-with-the-grain wood artwork and an easy faux baseboard add subtle style. New laminate flooring, fresh paint, woven runners for the stairs and floor, a table lamp, and a mirror top off the makeover. The result: An organized, stylish entry that makes a great first impression.
