Transform a garment rack into a handy storage spot for costumes and dress-up accessories. Approximate cost: $110*

Step-by-Step
  1. Assemble the garment rack (#19431) following the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Use utility scissors to remove the top tabs from a curtain panel (#242106).
  3. Measure and cut a 70- x 37-inch section from the curtain panel. Turn 1 inch of the edges of the fabric inward facing the back, and use a glue gun to secure the hem. Use self-fastening strips (#65536) to attach this piece to the back of the garment rack cover (#78619).
  4. Measure and cut a 3-foot x 9-inch piece of leftover curtain panel for the awning on the front. Hem as described in Step 3. Use self-fastening strips to attach to the garment rack cover.
  5. Measure and cut four 20- x 35-inch strips of leftover curtain panel to use as tiebacks for the garment rack cover. Attach using self-fastening strips.
  6. Secure the garment rack to the wall using pipe straps and #8 drywall anchors.
