What a Great Idea: Fall Favors

Give tiny burlap bundles filled with ready-to-plant bulbs as gifts.

1. For each bundle, cut one 8-inch-square piece and three 5-inch-square pieces of burlap (#194942). On a  flat surface, stack the three smaller burlap pieces in the center of the larger piece.

2. Place a bulb in the center of the layered burlap pieces.

3. Gather the edges of the burlap, and tie a length of jute twine (#66510) around each bundle.

4. Attach a small paper scroll that includes the  plant name and instructions on how to plant and  maintain the bulbs.

 

Good To Know: In fall, give spring-blooming bulbs, such as tulips,  narcissus, and hyacinth.  In spring, group a few seed packets for a nice gift.

The entire package, burlap and bulb, could be planted. The burlap will decompose and add a bit of organic material to the soil.
The attached instructions could include this recommendation.
Nice idea. Could be used as Thanksgiving favors.
