b. Glue and clamp two pieces together to create each (01) back leg.

c. Following the layout in Figure 1, cut the (01) back leg.

d. Use the first (01) back leg as a pattern to cut the second (01) back leg.

e. Cut a 1/4-inch-wide x 3/8-inch-deep groove positioned 1/4 inch from the long edges of the (02) storage sides and (03) storage ends.

f. Position the inside face of one (02) storage side flush with the front faces of the (02) back legs and 17 1/4 inches from the bottom as shown in Figure 1. Attach using glue and pocket hole screws. Position the inside face of one (03) storage end flush with the inside faces of the (02) back legs. Attach using glue and pocket hole screws. Using glue and pocket hole screws, attach one (05) front leg to the assembly flush with the inside face of the (03) storage end.

g. Cut the (04) storage bottom 1/2 inch wider than the (03) storage ends and 1/2 inch longer than the (02) storage sides.

h. Cut a 1/4- x 1/4-inch notch in each corner of the (04) storage bottom.

i. Insert the (04) storage bottom into the grooves of the two installed storage boards

j. Attach the remaining (02) storage side, remaining (03) storage end, and remaining (05) front leg to the assembly as described in Step 1f.

k. Apply a bead of hot glue on the underside of the assembly at the intersections of the storage boards and the (04) storage bottom.

2 Attach the seat boards and stretchers.

a. Position the (06) stretchers centered and 2 3/4 inches from the bottom of the legs. Attach the (06) stretchers to the legs using glue and 2 1/2-inch countersunk screws.

b. Cut a 3/8-inch dowel to fit in the countersunk holes, and attach with glue. Trim the dowel flush.

c. Scribe to fit the (07) long stretcher.

d. Position the (07) long stretcher centered on the (06) stretchers, and attach using glue and nails.

assembly to the storage/leg assembly using glue and nails.

3 Attach the seat.

Note: Measure the inside dimensions of the seat back/seat side assembly. The seat/nosing assembly should be 1/8 inch less than the width and depth of the opening.

a. Rip the (10) long nosing and the (11) nosing from 1 x 6s.

b. Scribe to fit and cut the (12) seat 1 5/8 inch less than the width and depth of the opening.

a. Scribe and cut to length the (13) back bottom and the (14) back top. Scribe the center point of the long dimension for each part.

b. Using a table saw, cut a 1/2- x 1/2-inch rabbet along one long edge of the (13) back bottom and (14) back top.

c. Scribe a mark 2 inches from the ends and 1/2 inch from the center point of the (14) back top as shown in the (14) back top layout in Figure 4. Lay out and cut the arc on the (14) back top.

d. Position the (13) back bottom and (14) back top on a work surface spaced 10 3/4 inches apart with the rabbets facing each other.
