Cut and label the parts as needed, using the Cut List and Cutting Diagram as guides and adjusting for fit.

1 Create the side assemblies.

a. Use the (01) stile layout in Figure 1 to mark and cut the (01) stiles.

b. Position a (02) side rail 11 1/2 inches down from the top and flush with the outside edges of two (01) stiles as shown in Figure 1, and attach with using glue and screws.

c. Position another (02) side rail flush with the top and outside edges of the (01) stiles, and attach with glue and screws. Repeat Steps 2b–c to build the other side assembly.

2 Create the back assembly.

a. Use the layouts in Figure 2 to mark and cut the (03) top back rail, (04) top spacers, and (05) bottom spacers.

b. Attach the spacers as shown in Figure 3.

c. Position the (03) top back rail, (06) bottom back rail, and remaining (01) stile as shown in Figure 3, and attach with glue and screws.

3 Test-fit the side and back assemblies, and drill the bolt holes.

a. Test-fit the side assemblies and back assembly, and adjust if necessary.

b. Position the back assembly so the curves on the top are flush with the curves on the side assemblies (see Figure 3). On each side of the back assembly, drill a 3/8-inch hole 1 inch from the edge and through the (03) top back rail, (04) top spacers, and (01) stile on the side assembly.

c. On each side of the back assembly, drill a 3/8-inch hole 1 inch from the edge and through the (06) bottom back rail, (05) bottom spacers, and (01) stile on the side assembly.

4 Apply finishing touches.

a. Sand any rough edges and apply a finish, if desired.

b. Using wire snips, cut the hardware cloth to fit from the top of the assemblies to the bottom of the lower (02) side rails and (06) bottom back rail. Attach with lath screws.

c. Position the assemblies on the wheelbarrow, and connect them by placing the carriage bolts in the 3/8-inch holes. Place a washer underneath the head of the bolt and underneath the nut when attaching.
